We all love our pets dearly; they are truly members of our families. And when we lose them, we have a deep need to honor and pay tribute to all of the love and friendship that they gave to us so freely. Pet grave markers are a lovely choice because you can use them to mark a grave, or, if you don't choose to actually bury the body, they can be placed in a garden, under your pet's favorite tree, or in their favorite shady spot in your yard to simply mark a sacred spot and create a living memorial to their life and to your treasured memories of them.

When I lost my horse Pepper in 1982, she was put down, taken away, and that was the end of it. But it wasn't the end of the pain that I felt in my heart. I got another horse, but he sure wasn't my Pepper! I wish that I would have had some options to help me pay tribute to her friendship and all of the fun times and adventures that we had had together.

We recently lost our dog Bobo to cancer, and while we did not choose to bury his body (he was 112 lbs!), we're having a stone made that we can place in a special spot in our yard. The beauty of this also, is that if we move, we can take the stone with us.
